2026 Summer Camps

Click Here to start your registration via the Active Network!

Explore our exciting Summer Camp options below! All camps are capped at 8 students, so your child will get a lot of 1-on-1 help as they learn new skills in pottery making. Most offerings are 4-days M-TH for 2 hours at a time, and we also have a few 1-time offerings through the City of Claremont’s Rec dept (see brochure image at the bottom of this page).

We offer discounts for multiple sessions and siblings! You are welcome to repeat the same camp themes in multiple weeks as each session they can create different variations and strive to improve their construction skills. All clay, glazes and shared tools are included in the session pricing.

Pottery Wheels Weekly Schedule:

ALL SUMMER LONG, 4-Day Sessions

All pottery wheel classes have a max of 8 students per session which provides more direct instruction and guidance in a small group environment.

M-TH 9am-11am $250/week (select weeks)

M-TH 12pm-2pm $250/week

M-TH 3pm-5pm $250/week (select weeks)

These sessions are repeatable for more practice and growth. The pottery wheel can take several weeks to start feeling confident. We pride ourselves in our teaching style and approach to techniques. Each week they are permitted to keep up to 5 of their favorite pieces. If you are signing your child up for back-to-back sessions, we still require you to pick them up between sessions so that we can reset the classrooms, staff can take breaks, and so you can bring them food/drink. The only exception would be if they were taking the 1-3pm handbuilding class followed by the 3-5pm wheel class.

Wild clay is amazing! It’s a family owned business by Josh Freeman – he is truly the kindest!!
They have commercial glazes and underglazes and some others they include! They have a wide variety of same amazing clay! They have wheel and hand building spaces! Wild Clay’s different memberships accommodate different needs and the classes (one time/ 4 times and 8 times) teach you so much! The other teachers and techs (Kris, Naomi and Ava) are genuinely so awesome and knowledgeable! I am so thankful to have found them and be a part of the wild clay community!!!
Do check them out!!!

What a fun experience at Wild Clay Ceramic Studio! My daughter chose this for her 22nd birthday celebration, and we took the evening pottery class together. Josh was an excellent instructor. He was patient, personable, and great at guiding beginners through the process.

We had a great time and left with wonderful memories (and pottery creations!). Highly recommend for a fun outing with friends or family.
