Spring Break Kids Wheel Throwing
March 31st, April 2nd, April 7th or April 9th
Our Spring Break 1-Time wheel classes are a great way for your child to start their adventure in clay! You may sign them up for multiple dates, just select each of the tuitions you want for them. This is a class just for school-aged kids 6-18 yrs.
Come learn wheel-throwing basics like coning, centering and pulling. Expect to get messy while learning in a fun, lively environment. When they make a cup/bowl/plate successfully, we will trim it professionally and glaze it for you in one of our shop glazes and you pick it up in a couple of weeks. Each participant is allowed to keep 2 pieces that they make, as well as select their glaze colors. Projects will be ready in approximately 4 weeks.
Learn the basics of the pottery wheel in a supportive learning environment taught by a professional artist with decades of experience. This class is meant to introduce you to wheel-throwing technique. If your child enjoys this experience, we suggest that you consider one of our beginning wheel-throwing class for 8 weeks or one of our upcoming wheel throwing Summer Camps to continue to practice and grow as a budding artist.

Sports Fan Textured Slab Mug Workshop
PERFECT FOR FAMILIES!
Get ready to celebrate March Madness, MLB’s 2026 Season, NBA and NHL tournaments with clay, creativity, and team spirit! Join our Sports-Themed Pottery Workshop for beginners or experienced artists, where sports fans can craft their very own coffee mug to celebrate their favorite team. No pottery experience? No problem! We’ll guide you step-by-step as you shape a mug from clay, then decorate it using fun stamps of your team logos, textures, and colorful accents inspired by the game.
Whether you’re gearing up for opening day, looking for a unique fan experience, or just want a mug that shows off your loyalty during every morning coffee, this workshop is for you. Bring your friends, rep your team, and enjoy a relaxed, hands-on creative session that’s all about sports pride.
Walk away with a one-of-a-kind mug–the perfect way to celebrate the start or end of a season!
This is a casual, introductory wheel-throwing class for beginners or those with limited experience. Intermediate and Advanced classes require this as a prerequisite.
You will be provided expert instruction to learn the formative techniques to create cylinders that you can turn into mugs, bowls, cups and small vases. This is achieved through various techniques including centering, opening, and pulling. We will also cover the basics of trimming and glazing your piece(s) for the final firing. Pieces are ready for pickup after 2 weeks from when they are completed.
Clay & glazing is included in the tuition. No outside clay is permitted. Communal tools are provided or you may bring your own tools if desired. Studio expectations include cleanup of potter’s wheel, bucket and tools at the end of each class. Sign all work or it will be recycled.

Hand-Carved Kurinuki Planters
Instructor Kris Erickson, Sunday 3/15 10am-12pm $69.99
Are you a plant lover who appreciates funky, organic planters?
This workshop on carved planters uses faceting techniques similar to the Japanese style of Kurinuki to create one-of-a-kind pots inspired by nature.
During this hands-on workshop, participants will learn various carving and texturing techniques to create their own unique planter out of a solid block of clay. Students will then choose from our collection of beautiful glazes to complete their piece or may return during our drop-in schedule to glaze it themselves.
No clay experience? No problem! This project is perfect for both beginner and experienced potters.

Beginning & Intermediate Handbuilding
Grades 1st-12th
Beginning Handbuilding teaches foundational skills for forming ceramic objects using pinch, coil and slab techniques. Students will receive instruction, construction time, glazing time and expert assistance. Projects vary in both functional and sculptural works with an emphasis on student creativity (project guidelines allow for students to challenge themselves as they are able). All clay, glazes and shared tools are included.

Pokémon Figure Sculpting (Age 8 to Adults)
Sat April 18th 10am-12:30pm
POKEMON/Cute Animal Sculpting
Put down the cards and forget the video games, come “catch” your very OWN favorite Pokémon as you gain basic handbuilding and sculpting techniques! This is a great option for families and groups of friends who also love Pokémon or learn to sculpt in 3D other fun animals like Hello Kitty, Bluey, bunnies, dogs, dinos and more!
Participants will form their creature from scratch (approx 3″-5″ tall) with guided instruction and hands-on assistance if needed, however students are expected to do most of the work themselves. Once fired to bisque stage, you will return to glaze it yourself, ready in about 2 weeks.
Tuition is all-inclusive. If this class does not fill to our minimum, we will reschedule or refund the tuition.
Bring photos of whichever Pokemon you hope to sculpt or use your phone as reference during the process.
Recommended beginner Pokémon for this session include:
Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Charmander, Pikachu, Clefairy, Jigglypuff, Mew, Psyduck, Poliwag, Slowpoke, Eevee, Dratini, Gloom, Fuecoco, Smolive, & more! (Simple, round-shaped Pokémon are ideal for this beginner session). However, if you are up for a greater challenge, you may attempt a more complex creature of your choice. Bring photos of whichever Pokemon you hope to sculpt or use your phone as reference during the process.
