Starting Dec 1st 2025, all members will have studio access hours from 7am-10pm (previously 9am-9pm)! Additionally, the Freelancer membership weekly hours is increasing from 5 to 10, and the Hobbyist weekly hours is increasing from 15 to 20!

At Wild Clay, we believe in the power of clay to connect and uplift the soul. Our memberships are designed for ceramic lovers with significant experience already and do not need instruction. As a member, you’ll be a part of a supportive community that’s as passionate about clay as you are!
Whether you’re a ceramicist who throws, hand-builds or sculpts, this is your space to grow, play, and make.
Memberships can start up at any time and will be billed automatically each month based on your start date. We ask that all new members commit to joining for a minimum of 4 months. Are you a student or senior citizen? We offer a discounted HOBBYIST membership with a savings of $50/mo (students must be actively enrolled in a high school or college)
ALL MEMBERSHIPS INCLUDE:
- studio access from 7am-10pm every day (excluding certain holidays)
- access to 12+ dippable shop glazes (no pints included, but may be used for an additional glaze fee)
- special members-only Sunday studio access
- access to Skutt potters wheels, Bailey slab roller, work tables, shared tools
- private locker to store tools/clay/glazes
- 20% discount on all classes/workshops
- “Buddy Passes” for friends to come in with you for drop-in at a reduced rate of $30 for handbuilding or $40 for wheel.
- All clays and glazes are cone 5, no outside clay permitted
Our FREELANCER membership is $200/month and includes:
510 hours of studio access per week- 2 cubic feet of firings per month
- 2.5′ x 2′ private dedicated shelf space
- no clay included (may be purchased as needed; we offer different kinds of clays bodies, these can be purchased 25 lbs at a time)
Our HOBBYIST membership is $300/mo and includes:
1520 hours of studio access per week- 4 cubic feet of firings per month (approx. 1/2 kiln)
- 2.5′ x 2′ private dedicated shelf space
- 25 lbs clay/month included (we offer 4 different kinds of clays bodies)
- participation in seasonal shows (optional)
Our ARTISAN membership is $400/mo and includes:
- 40 hours of studio access per week
- 2.5′ x 4′ dedicated shelf storage space
- 6 cubic feet of firings/month
- 50 lbs of clay per month (can be taken 25 lbs at a time)
- participation in seasonal shows (optional)
- inclusion in our in-store retail displays (optional)
As a Wild Clay member, you are expected to follow all posted studio rules and guidelines, clean your workspace when finished, not take up more than one work space at a time, return all tools to their proper place, and label/sign all of your work. A $25 cleaning fee may be assessed each time to members who repeatedly leave a mess at the studio.
During scheduled class times, some spaces may be unavailable, however other areas may be used (i.e. during a full wheel-throwing class, the only wheels available will be the patio kick wheels). We try to hold at least 1 wheel spot open for members to work.
